Job Description:
As the R&D Head at GMS AGRITECH PVT LTD, you will spearhead our research and development efforts, driving innovation and excellence across our product lines. You will lead a talented team of qualified and experienced researchers, guiding them in developing ground-breaking solutions and technologies that align with our strategic goals. You will need to coordinate with various research institute and universities both nationally and internationally to bring in latest innovations and research inputs into our R&D system. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of the Company, influencing product development, and enhancing our competitive edge in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the R&D team to achieve strategic objectives and deliverables.
• Drive innovation through research initiatives, product development, and technology advancements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as, Marketing, and Production to ensure alignment and successful product launches.
• Need to coordinate with various research institute and universities both nationally and internationally regarding latest technologies, collaborative projects, testing of our new products and training of manpower.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and technological advancements to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
• Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the R&D team.

Qualification / Skills:
• Ph.D. in Agriculture (preferred Genetics and Plant Breeding)
• Proven experience of 3 years preferably in breeding in either Seed Company or research institute or university
• Strong track record of successful product development /innovation/publications.
• Excellent leadership quality and communication skills in English (both speaking and writing) with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Experience in handling of statistical software and molecular breeding will be preferred.
